Returns, Refunds and Warranties

We aim to ensure you are completely satisfied with your purchase. Please read our returns policy carefully before initiating a return.

Returns

You may return most items within 30 days of delivery. After this period, we regret that we cannot offer a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be unused, in its original condition, and in the original packaging
  • You must provide a receipt or proof of purchase
  • You must contact us in advance, with pictures and details of the problem at info@thefilterbusiness.com to confirm whether a return is appropriate

Please do not send items directly to us without checking first.

Non-Returnable Items

We do not accept returns for:

  • Non-standard, or speciality items
  • Hazardous materials

Partial Refunds

Partial refunds may be granted in the following cases:

  • Items not in original condition, damaged, or missing parts not due to our error
  • Standard items ordered incorrectly; returned at the buyer’s expense and are subject to a minimum 25% restocking fee

Refunds

Refunds are issued as follows:

  • Proforma account and online shop purchases: refunded to the original payment method
  • Account customers: issued as a credit note, with any balance remaining on the account for future use

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you by email of the outcome. If approved, your refund or credit will be processed within 10 working days.

Sale Items

Only regular-priced items are eligible for refunds. Sale or clearance items are non-refundable.

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item for the same product, please contact us at info@thefilterbusiness.com

Return Carriage

Unless The Filter Business are at error, customers are responsible for return carriage costs. Carriage charges are non-refundable. If a refund is issued, the carriage costs will be deducted.

We recommend using a trackable carriage service or purchasing carriage insurance. We cannot guarantee receipt of returned items.

Warranty

We take pride in supplying high-quality air filters designed to meet your filtration needs. Our products are generally considered consumable and disposable, but we offer the following warranty to ensure customer confidence and satisfaction:

Warranty Coverage – 12 Months

Most of our air filters are covered by a 12-month warranty from the date of invoice, provided they are:

  • Kept in their original packaging
  • Stored in a clean, dry environment
  • Maintained at a suitable temperature

This is particularly important for filters with cardboard frames, which are sensitive to moisture and temperature fluctuations.

The warranty applies solely to manufacturing defects. This includes issues such as:

  • Dimensions or specification not as detailed on our invoice.
    • Please note that all dimensions are subject to +/- 3mm manufacturing tolerance
  • Faulty construction or materials
  • Damage present at the time of delivery

Exclusions

  • Installed Filters: Once a filter has been installed, it is considered a consumable item and is no longer covered under warranty.
  • Improper Storage: Filters that have been stored in unsuitable conditions (e.g., damp, dusty, or excessively hot/cold environments, etc.) are excluded from warranty coverage.
  • Wear and Tear: Normal degradation and blocking due to use, environmental exposure, or time is not covered.

Reporting a Defect

If you believe a filter has a manufacturing defect, please contact us before returning the item. All warranty claims must be made in accordance with our returns procedure detailed above.
